"Looper" looks like and is a blast; what's really cool is it's even more than that.. Writer-director Rian Johnson establishes himself as an original talent who clearly believes storytelling must prevail.. The thudding techno score and Danny Ruhlmann's digital lensing have the effect of making "Survivor" look cheap rather than stylized..
