'Hummingbird' doesn't always work but wins points for originality.. . The best thing about the movie is its personable, amusing cast.. [Knight] fills his story with too many contrivances - not to mention narrative strands .... There's nothing super about Super Troopers except for those deep into the low end of the frat-house mentality that equates smart-alecky with hilarity.. It's kind of sad that so many people put so much time and energy into this turkey.. . A flawed but still solid debut. And...
