Apart from the gore -- and there's plenty -- this is basically L.A. Confidential without the script.. Red is an insult to our memories and to our intelligence, an unfunny farce whose veteran cast is cashing a retirement check.. Frankly, Wahlberg has outgrown movies like this. And so have we..
