Like all top-notch best thrillers, The Disappearance of Alice Creed is a suspense-filled caper flick with enough twists and turns to leave the audience gasping and guessing until its final moments.. All the considerable effort that went into making this film cannot finally offset its aura of pointless morbidity.. J Blakeson springs surprises that force us to re-evaluate everything that's come before.. Though I admit the title of the film is slightly dumb, I can't really fault much else going on ...
