Dom Hemingway suffers from a meandering narrative and inconsistent comedy.. "Runner Runner" is a bummer. Bummer.. The movie is like a set-up to a set-up.. The kind of crime flick where the characters volley dialogue like furious ping-pong players, riffing with delight, their lines ripe with pulpy metaphor.. It looks like everybody's lying, and that's only because the acting is pretty bad.. While Law bellows blasphemous poetry, his director orchestrates a noirish light show with a cockeyed rhythm...
